GO TO GOAL! is an after-school athletic and life skills program for girls from low-income families. GO TO GOAL! reaches out to Asheville/Buncombe County girls ages 8 to 11 through the sport of soccer and provides both mental and physical development to complement a girl's academic and social development within the school setting.

GO TO GOAL! participants receive instruction in soccer two afternoons a week for two-hour sessions. These sessions are developed and run by nationally recognized soccer players who play for Asheville's premier soccer team, The Asheville Splash. In the four hours of instruction and competition on the field each week, the children develop as team players and as self-confident individuals. Participants who show promise in GO TO GOAL!, are supported and encouraged to play in the local Asheville Buncombe Youth Soccer Association (ABYSA) soccer leagues and to follow a progression laid out by GO TO GOAL! that leads a player to the youth premier level with the Highland Football Club (HFC). HFC offers a young person exposure to other athletes and programs outside the Buncombe County area.
